After weeks of hectic electioneering in the run-up to the General Elections on May 12, the contestants are now relaxing, focusing on their health and chilling out with their family members and friends while waiting for the poll results to be declared on May 23.

Deepender Singh Hooda, sitting MP and Congress nominee from the Rohtak Lok Sabha seat, is at present staying at his official residence in New Delhi. He meets party workers and other acquaintances and engages in sports and recreational activities.

“Deepender ji meets party workers and other visitors at his Delhi residence, does yoga and plays lawn tennis,” says Sahil Khatri, an associate of the Congress leader.

Deepender’s father Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is the Congress candidate from the Sonepat parliamentary seat, spent some time with his supporters and party workers at Rohtak after the elections on May 12 and then went to campaign for the party nominees in other states where polling in the last phase is yet to take place.

Arvind Sharma, BJP candidate from Rohtak, says that there has not been any considerable change in his routine before and after the elections, and he is still going to the party office and meeting workers.

Shruti Choudhry, Congress candidate from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, has also been spending leisure time with her family members, including her mother and Congress Legislative Party leader Kiran Choudhry, after the elections.

Swati Yadav, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) candidate from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, is busy with the management of her family’s chain of schools and spends time with schoolchildren as well.
