Kolkata: A nodal officer of the Election Commission who had gone missing from Krishnagar seven days ago was found in a house in Howrah by the West Bengal CID.

Kolkata: A nodal officer of the Election Commission who had gone missing from Krishnagar seven days ago was found in a house in Howrah by the West Bengal CID. The nodal officer, Arnab Roy, was found after tracking the location of his mobile phone, the a CID officer said. “We have found Mr Roy from a house in Howrah this morning. He is fine,” the CID officer said, adding, “We will talk to him to find out what actually happened.” PTI

Cong promises action in six months in Pearl case

New Delhi: The Congress on Thursday strongly condemned the injustice done to the 5.85 crore families of Pearl Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) as well as about 12 crore victims of chit fund scams, stating it is taking a very serious view of this organised fraud. After groups affected by PACL met Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the party said that within six months of government formation, 5.85 crore families afflicted by PACL would be ensured payment with interest. Twitter adds way to report voter-tricking tweets

San Francisco:  Twitter has begun making it easier to report tweets aimed at interfering with people voting, starting first in Europe and India. An option to report Twitter messages as being misleading about voting was being added to the one-to-many messaging service's app in India and Europe. “Any attempts to undermine the process of registering to vote or engaging in the electoral process is contrary to our company's core values,” the Twitter safety team said.
