PM, Shah to attend rally at Dharamsala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah will attend a rally planned by the state government on December 27 in Dharamsala to mark its one year in power.

An announcement was made by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a meeting of party workers and leaders of Kangra here today.

He said both had confirmed their participation in the rally. Dharamsala was selected as the venue for the rally as the Prime Minister had come to Shimla for the oath-taking ceremony of the government and inaugurating various development projects in Mandi. He said during the rally, beneficiaries of various schemes would participate. Earlier, the CM inspected various sites such as the police ground, Zorawar stadium and the HPCA cricket stadium for organising the rally. He said he had talked to HPCA president Anurag Thakur and rally was likely to be held in the stadium.

A meeting of Kangra leaders was held under the leadership of party MP Shanta Kumar to mobilise party workers for the rally.

Shanta Kumar urged the leaders and workers to mobilise the people to attend the rally. — TNS
