Chandigarh, December 10

The Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration, and Tagore Theatre Society presented an English comedy play, 'Two Adorable Losers', by Mumbai-based Out of Box Productions at the Tagore Theatre here on Monday.

Written by Abhishek Pattnaik and directed by Murtuza Kutianwala, the play was structured in a classroom.

The play brings alive the strengths and weaknesses of both Prof Jolly (Abhishek Pattnaik) and student Akshay (Darsheel Safary) with contrasting psyche, behaviour and traits. Prof Jolly coming from a rural state, Odhisa, though too good in statistics fails to justify his English diction, while Akshay, a psychology student, was weak in statistics with excellent pronunciation in English. Both suffer from the same problem -- inferiority complex. In an attempt to regain their lost confidence, they approach each other as a teacher and taught, which results in an atypical bond of mutual understanding and relationship.
