There seems to be no respite for passengers as inclement weather continues its onslaught. Last minute cancellation of trains and rescheduling has left passengers fuming.

On Thursday, the Railways cancelled as many as 15 trains, two remained partially cancelled while a dozen odd long-route trains were running behind schedule.

On Amritsar-Ludhiana-New Delhi route Shatabdi Exp (12031), Intercity Exp (12460) and Shane-Punjab (12497) were running behind schedule by up to one hour.

The Railways said 12241/42 Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigah Exp, 13151/52 Kolkata-Jammu Tawi-Kolkara Sealdah Exp, 14673/74 Jaynagar-Amritsar-Jaynagar Shaheed Exp, 15209/10 Saharsa-Amritsar-Saharsa Jansewa Exp, 15707/08 Katihar-Amritsar-Katihar Amrapali Exp, 12332 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Himgiri Exp, 13050 Amritsar-Howrah Exp, 13307 Dhanbad-Ferozepur Ganga Sutlej Exp, 14501 Bathinda-Jammu Tawi Exp and 19611 Ajmer-Amritsar Exp trains were cancelled.

A pair of 14613/14 Chandigarh-Firozepur-Chandigarh Exp remained partially cancelled between SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Chandigarh in both directions. — OC
