Ludhiana: Birthday of ‘Sarasanghachak’ of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Guru Madhav Sadashiv Rao Golwalkar’, was celebrated with fervour at BVM School, Sector 39, Chandigarh Road. The day commenced with a documentary shown to inculcate the greatness of Guru Ji. Various activities such as quiz, paper reading activity and declamation activity were organised and students participated vehemently. Birthday of rof Guru Ravidas was also celebrated by the students. Children were inspired to become a seer, visionary and courageous like the two personalities. 

Mathematics quiz at BCM

A mathematics quiz for primary classes was organised at BCM, Basant City. Each team consisted of six students. Groups were named after the various shapes. Questions were based upon general mathematical skills and tables. There were sub-rounds in each main round. It was a well-organized and informative quiz. During the quiz for Class V, all questions were displayed through a PPT. All mathematics teachers, along with students, attended and enjoyed the quiz. Principal JP Singh appreciated the efforts of the participants and mathematics faculty members.

Guru Ravidas Jyanti

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana, paid obeisance to Guru Ravidas on his birth anniversary. On the auspicious day, insightful teachings of Guru Ravidas were framed in the form of ‘shabads and bhajans’, making the environment religious and pious. Students also delivered speeches on the life history of Guru Ravidas Ji, his contributions and teachings. Principal Dr Jyoti Sachdev Pujara paid floral tributes to Sant Ravidas Ji. She described him as a social  reformer, a philosopher and theosophist. She said Guru Ravidas was one of the great saints who contributed to removing the ills of the society. TNS
