The Pakistan army on Saturday again violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) when it opened firing at Indian posts in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district.

The Pakistan army resorted to firing at 9 am which was retaliated by the Indian Army strongly.

Giving details, a defence spokesperson said Pakistani troops targeted Indian posts at 9 am, prompting a strong and effective retaliation from the Indian Army.

There were no casualties on the Indian side, he added.

This is the second ceasefire violation by Pakistan in three days. On December 6, a BSF man was killed and another was injured when the Pakistani army had violated the truce agreement in the Sunderbani sector.
