On the second consecutive day, the Pakistan army violated truce agreement in the Nowshera sector in Rajouri district at about 7 pm today.

Heavy mortar shelling and firing was reported from the Kalal area in the Nowshera sector adjoining the Keri-Battal sector in Sunderbani, said a source.

“At about 6.45 pm, the Pakistan army initiated ceasefire violation by firing small arms and shelling with mortars in the Nowshera sector. The Indian Army has been retaliating strongly and effectively,” said Davender Anand, PRO Defence.
