A day ahead of poll in south Kashmir, security forces arrested a suspected Pakistani militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Identified as Waqar, alias Chota Dujana, in his late 20s, he was arrested along with a local accomplice in Chanabal area of Pattan, 25 km from Srinagar. A pistol and some documents were seized.

Initial investigation revea-led that Waqar, a resident of Mianwali, Pakistan, has been active since 2017. — TNS
