On what factors do you choose a show?
The most important factor is the content and then, of course, the production house.
How does it feel to be back on television after four years?
Television gave me the fame and recognition that I have today. As an actor I have explored both movies and TV shows, but the small screen is very close to my heart and making a comeback on it after four years was overwhelming.
You have always played negative characters on screen.
What is new in this character?
My character on the show is unique in its own way and has something refreshing to offer to the audiences. It is not an outright negative role. The character is the biggest manipulator with a mysterious past.
What prompted you to play this character?
Krishna Chali London as a show is an interesting concept and puts a lot of emphasis on characterisation. Roles are extremely well written and that is what attracted me towards the character the most.
Is your character relatable in today’s time?
Bade Papa’s negative character is every other person who perceives women as weak and thinks that he possesses the right to dominate them, and curb their voice.
How does it feel when you look back at your journey?
I don’t feel I have made it still.
The best is yet to come.
In your opinion, has working pattern of TV changed?
Yes, there has been a big change. Today viewers have a choice to watch different shows.
What are your future plans?
Currently, I am completely focusing on Krishna Chali London and hope viewers enjoy my performance.
