Oath-taking marks IAF anniversary

Several programmes were conducted by the No.3 Base Repair Depot (BRD) here to mark the 87th anniversary of the Indian Air Force. An oath-taking ceremony was organised at the depot, wherein IAF personnel and the civilian staff rededicated themselves to the service of the nation.

Messages from the President, Vice-President, Prime Minister, Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence, Chief of Air Staff and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command were read out. Commendations by the Chief of Air Staff and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief were awarded to 12 personnel for meritorious service.

Air Commodore Sanjiv Ghuratia, Air Officer Commanding, 3 BRD, lauded the participation of all personnel in making the depot the Best Repair Depot of the IAF. In view of the present security scenario, he urged them all to be vigilant at all times.
