NSS volunteers apprised of yoga techniques

On Day 5 of the NSS camp, a yoga camp was organised in the morning. Sri Sri Varun Lamba, a double certified yoga trainer, was invited to the camp. He told the volunteers about the importance of yoga in today’s stressful life and also trained volunteers about many asanas for relieving stress and meditation. In the evening session of the camp, “Fire Service Day” was celebrated. Yashpal Rai, Station Fire Officer, Punjab Government was the chief guest of the session. He delivered an enriching lecture on fire safety and fire extinguishing measures and techniques.

He also demonstrated fire extinguishing techniques to the volunteers and answer to questions of volunteers in the Interaction Session. Today, in the morning session, the NSS boys’ unit visited the old age home at Bullepur and a cake cutting ceremony was held there. — OC
