Amritsar, February 5

After online retail giant Amazon was slammed for selling doormats with Golden Temple image, another online firm Flipkart has invited the ire of the Sikh community on the same issue.

Taking notice of it, the SGPC is all set to send a legal notice to Flipkart. SGPC’s chief secretary Dr Roop Singh said this offensive act has invited the ire of the Sikh community.

“We are going to send a notice to the Flipkart management to remove the objectionable product from its site and if need be case will be registered. Earlier, Amazon had done the same blunder, but was let off after its management submitted an apology and withdrew the product,” he said. — TNS
