Notice for defacement of public property

The local Municipal Corporation has issued notices to 10 educational institutes, mostly coaching centres, and 12 printers of the town for pasting posters and putting up advertisement flaxes at different places in the town.

Vikram, Executive Officer of the Corporation, said on Sunday that neither the owners of the educational institutes nor the printers had taken prior permission from the Corporation for putting up these posters and flaxes.

As it was illegal and a clear violation of the Defacement of Government Property Act, they had been directed to remove the posters and flaxes without any delay. They had also been cautioned that if there was any violation of the directions, cases would be registered against those found guilty.
