Nostalgia marks DMC alumni meet

Ludhiana: During the alumni meet at Dayanand Medical College here, students of golden jubilee MBBS Batch 1968 and silver jubilee MBBS batch of 1993 were felicitated by the dignitaries present on the occasion.

During the alumni meet at Dayanand Medical College here, students of golden jubilee MBBS Batch 1968 and silver jubilee MBBS batch of 1993 were felicitated by the dignitaries present on the occasion. 

Early in the morning, alumni of both the batches had come and took round of the key areas of the hospital, including the emergency and ICU Block, OPD area and Hero DMC Heart Institute. They appreciated the tremendous progress made by the institution over the past years. They compared the present infrastructure of DMCH with that of old days of their stay at college.

Secretary Prem Kumar Gupta, along with Principal Dr Sandeep Puri and medical superintendent Dr Sandeep Sharma (chairperson, DMC alumni committee), Dr Rajinder Mittal (Secretary, DMC Alumni Committee), Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Medical Superintendent Dr Ashwani Chaudhary and Dr Sandeep Kaushal were present on the occasion.

Principal Dr Sandeep Puri extended warm welcome to the alumni and said that their alma mater has made tremendous progress in the field of medical education and overall infrastructure. 

In the felicitation ceremony, all those of MBBS 1968 and 1993 were felicitated. The alumni of 1993 batch had made a souvenir of their batchmates with their family.
