Patiala, December 1
According to the High Court orders, no one is allowed to disrupt the traffic movement in the district. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit while addressing a press conference at the Administrative Complex here on Saturday.
Kumar Amit said: “No one will be allowed to disrupt the traffic movement in Patiala. If anyone wants to protest in the district, they have to take prior permission from the district administration.” The DC also said that the district administration will allocate a place to protest in the district.
Kumar Amit said people, especially school students and patients, were facing a lot of inconvenience due to regular protests in the city.
“We won’t let anyone disrupt the peace and harmony of the city at any cost,”said Kumar Amit.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mandeep Singh Sidhu said the Patiala Police have received a tip-off that some miscreants were planning to protest on December 2 despite the High Court orders. He said: “Strict action will be taken if anyone defies the court orders.”
