Record placements at IIM, Amritsar

The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar announced 100 per cent placement for its third batch of PGP 2017-19. The institute has witnessed a significant growth in terms of key metrics vis-a-vis last year.

The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar announced 100 per cent placement for its third batch of PGP 2017-19. The institute has witnessed a significant growth in terms of key metrics vis-a-vis last year. 

This year, the companies based within India have shown substantial interest thus enabling the students to garner far more opportunities within the country. 

The highest domestic annual package has shot up from Rs 17 LPA to Rs 21 LPA this year. The domestic average of the batch has also increased significantly from Rs 11.02 LPA to Rs 12.2 LPA, with YoY growth of 10.7 per cent because of the availability of quality opportunities in India. The median for the present batch also saw a considerable upward increase from Rs 10.5 LPA to Rs 12 LPA this year.

The institute hosted more than 52 recruiters, including many first-time participants. The prominent recruiters this year included Accenture, Anand Rathi, Apollo Munich, CRISIL, Deloitte, GroupM, HDFC Bank, ICICI Lombard, KPMG, Motilal Oswal, Tata Teleservices, Thomas Cook, Trident among others. 

Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, the mentor Director and Director of IIM Kozhikode said, “It gives me immense satisfaction and happiness that the students of IIM , Amritsar under the mentorship of IIM Kozhikode performed very well in their education and achieved well deserved placements proving once again that IIM Amritsar stands differently among the newer generation IIMs”   — TNS
