A 62-year-old businessman reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house here today.

The police recovered a suicide note, in which he blamed a private financier for driving him to suicide. The police registered a case against the private financier and his associates.

The deceased was identified as Devkinand (62), a factory owner.

Lokesh Nagroo, municipal councillor, said Devkinand had taken some money on interest from a private financier and returned the amount with interest, but the financier was not returning signed cheques.

The body of the deceased was handed over to his kin after the postmortem examination. — TNS
