Detained for supporting protest: Councillor

Jammu: Jasmeet Kaur Pandey, and advocate and councillor, said on Thursday that she was “illegally and unconstitutionally” detained for joining the protest of residents who were opposing the Jammu airport extension project.

She alleged she was forcibly stopped by the police for raising their genuine demands. Residential structures near the airport were demolished by the authorities on Wednesday. TNS
