Ludhiana: A Principals Meet was organised on 'Strengthening The Student-Teacher Bond' by The Tribune Group of Newspapers, in association with Chitkara University, in Ludhiana on Thursday.

Col DS Cheema, author and motivational speaker, addressed the principals and cited examples from his experiences to emphasise the need for creating a cordial relationship between students and teachers.

Highlighting the flaws of education system, Cheema said, "The system is criticised because of its one-size-fits-all approach. Every child has a different mental ability and capacity to learn. Even twins can be different psychologically. All students cannot be taught in the same way. They should be educated according to their learning abilities".

Teachers are nation builders. They are next to parents for students. Up to Class XII, a student spends 30,000 hours on an average at school. — Col DS Cheema, speaker
