The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME-DI) honoured students of CT University (CTU) for successfully completing two weeks of the ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme’. Students were felicitated by Kundan Lal and RK Parmar, assistant directors, MSME-DI, Ludhiana, with certificates from the MSME.

During the two week programme, sessions based on setting up of businesses and how to be a successful entrepreneur were conducted. Students also gained hands-on experiences through case studies and industrial visits.

Parmar said: “As jobs are getting scarce day by day, setting up one’s own business and being an entrepreneur is the need of the hour. The government’s motive is to promote students to be their own boss. We are here to support such students who are willing to bring a change.”

Queries of students on the financial aspects, schemes by government, branding and marketing, were also addressed during the session. Meanwhile, Amrinder Singh, head, School of Management Studies, said: “Every session was beneficial for students as it connected them with the industry and enhanced their knowledge about setting up their own businesses.” Vice Chancellor Harsh Sadawarti congratulated the students and wished them luck.
