Link road turns into dump yard

The Housing Board Colony-Chinva link road in Nurpur town is taken by a large number of morning and evening walkers every day. But its condition is worsening with each passing day. One can see heaps of debris along the stretch. The administration and the Pollution Control Board authorities have turned a blind eye to this burgeoning menace. The stretch has virtually turned into a dump yard. Even the  Municipal Council seems least interested in checking the menace. The civic authorities are requested to identify a dumping site away from the town and take action against those dumping waste on the stretch. — Anil Kumar, Nurpur
