16 get life imprisonment in Hisar double murder case

Additional District and Sessions Judge Seema Singhal today sentenced 16 persons to life imprisonment for murdering a woman and her son at Balak village of the district. The accused had barged into the house of the victims and shot dead Sugna Devi (50) and Kuldeep (30) on March 14, 2014. 

According to information, the court held 16 persons guilty of the double murder and awarded them jail term for life. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1.25 lakh on each of the convict. 

Police sources said the assailants had attacked the victims to take revenge of a murder and fired several rounds in which two persons died with third family member Suresh Kumar (brother of Kuldeep) suffered injuries. —TNS
