The residents of Sector 25 are likely to get major relief in enhancement of plots as the total area of the sector has been reduced by 10 acres while the common area has also come down by 30 acres.

The calculation of the enhancement of plots to be charged by Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) in Sector 25 is in the final stage as residents agreed to the proposal of the estate agency.

The HSVP officials have calculated the total planned area, including the saleable plus common area of Sector 25 was 193.73 acres and the plots of various sizes were in 71.70 acres.

After this they held the meeting with office-bearers of the resident welfare led by BR Mehta and later have approved the same.

Zonal Administrator HSVP Mahavir Kaushik said that the process of calculating the enhancement has begun as the RWA has approved the latest calculated planned area. He said now the process of calculating the enhancement would begin and after this the cases of other sectors would also be taken up one by one.

However, residents of trans-Ghaggar sectors had been opposing the enhancement notices issued by the HSVP and had demanded the recalculation of the amount after measuring common areas in the sectors. They had been demanding the implementation of the report of the three retired judge’s committee as they would have to pay only 10 percent of the total enhancement demanded by the HSVP.

Confirming the same RWA president BR Mehta said that first phase of the calculation was complete and now they have to see as to how the HSVP calculated the amount and the interest as per the awards announced by the state government.

He said that they would not pay any interest on amount due to the delayed notices sent by HSVP to them as it was the responsibility of the estate agency to send the notices on time.

Mehta said that they were satisfied with the calculation and have apprised the same to other members of the society. He said as per the HSVP records of 2018 the total area of the Sector 25 was calculated at 203.51 acres including the saleable area 103.25 acres. The chargeable common area included 100.26 acres, he added.

HSVP Chief Accounts Officer Satish Kaushik said the calculation of the total planned area was being taken sector-wise and meetings were being held with the RWAs to finalise the system so that enhancement amounts could be calculated without further delay.

He said the enhancement of sectors in Karnal area has also be finalised and they had invited the representatives of the remaining two sectors 9 and 12 to finalise the planned area.
