EME, ITBP win in Dashmesh hockey c’ship

Continuing their winning run, EME Jalandhar defeated Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Patiala, 4-0 on the second day of the 30th Dashmesh Hawks All India Hockey Festival here today.  In the other fixtures of the day, Jarkhar Academy beat SGPC Amritsar 4-2, while ITBP defeated Sikh Center Ramgarh 2-0.

EME scored their first two goals in the 11th and 29th minutes through Gurjinder Singh and Avtar Singh, respectively. The lead was further stretched in the second half when Simrandeep scored in the 47th minute.

In the match between ITBP and Sikh Center Ramgarh, ITBP scored the first goal of the match in the 8th minute through Robin Singh. ITBP consolidated the lead in the 22nd minute through a penalty corner conversion by Harvinder Bajwa. — TNS
