On Children’s Day, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma inaugurated a project regarding setting up of smart classrooms Mustafapur (Kartarpur) and Karari (Bhogpur) villages.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said the initiative was aimed at imparting quality and hi-end education to students studying in the government schools. He said the district administration had spent Rs17.90 lakh for constructing smart classrooms in 45 government schools of the district. Sharma said these classrooms would ensure digital education and increase learning achievements of students, enhancement of student attendance, interactive teaching and learning and focused engagement of students in the classrooms, besides ensuring overall development of the students.
Under the project, smart classrooms has been set up at government schools in Bara Pind, Bhatnura, Bhar Singh Pura, Bundala, Chak Kalan, Heran, Daroli Kalan, Daduwal, Jandiala, Karari, Kala Bakra, Kartarpur, Patara, Kapur Pind, Kotli Than Singh, Khambra, Lasara, Government Girls Senior Secondary School and Government Senior Secondary School, Lohian Khaas, Lambra, Mustafapur, Mehatpur, Malsian, Nurmahal, Nihaluwal, Patar Kalan, Phillaur, Partabpura, Adampur, Poonian, Randhawa Masanda, Rurka Kalan, Sangowal, Shankar, Sammipur, Samrai, Tehing, Ucha, Mulewal Kehra, Baghela, Kular, Khanpur Dhadda, Mesampur and Uggi.
