Students remember Chacha Nehru

LUDHIANA: Children’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and vigour in most of the schools in the district. Several activities were organised to commemorate the day.

Children’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and vigour in most of the schools in the district. Several activities were organised to commemorate the day.

GMT International Public School

Students celebrated Children’s Day with fervour. It was a fun-filled day for the students. The teachers made the day special, as they presented the act, speech, poem and songs highlighting idealogy of Jawaharlal Nehru. The special attraction was the group song presented by the students of the Junior Wing. A special movie show was also organised for the students of the Senior Wing.

Atam Devki Niketan

Children’s day was observed with enthusiasm. The day marks the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Various activities and events were organised. Programmes included informative play, enactment and songs were organised.

Drishti School

A special morning assembly was conducted to observe Children’s Day by the teachers. Dances, songs and other performances by the teachers stole the show. Humoresque was performed by Yumi Kang, a student-teacher from Indiana University. The differently-abled children enthusiastically joined the principal and teachers in cake-cutting ceremony.

Police DAV Public School

To commemorate the Day, various activityies were conducted for the kindergarten toddlers of the school. The students used play dough in making ‘Red roses’ to show their love towards ‘Chacha Nehru’. They also presented roses to the Principal Anu Verma.

Sacred Heart Sr Sec School

Gaiety, fun and fervour marked the Children’s Day celebrations at the school. The celebrations started by seeking Almighty’s blessings with the message of universal brotherhood and peace. Various activities such as ‘qawali’, songs and dances marked the festivities. The programme ended with bhangra.

Ryan International School, Ludhiana

The school organised a special assembly and various fun-filled activities to mark Children’s Day celebrations. Teachers of the school entertained the students by performing a group song presentation and skit. Various extra-curricular activities were also organised.

Kiddies’ Paradise School

Tiny tots of celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and excitement. They came dressed up as soldier, policeman, milkman, Jawaharlal Nehru, doctor, patriot, mango tree etc. Various activities such as singing, speech, painting, quiz competition etc. were also organised for students.

Jesus’ Sacred Heart School

Students of the school celebrated Children’s Day. The students of pre-primary and primary classes came dressed in different outfits and were told about the importance of celebrating Children’s Day. They played different games and had fun enjoying their favourite meals. Students of the senior grade celebrated their special day with zeal.

Green Land Sr Sec Public School

Children’s Day was celebrated at with great enthusiasm. The programme began by paying homage to Jawaharlal Nehru. A mask party for the students of pre-nursery, nursery & kindergarten was held. They dressed up in their beautiful attires wearing colourful, glittery, eye catching masks.

Green Land Convent School, Dugri

Children’s Day was celebrated at the school with zeal. Students participated in many activities specially organised for different classes. The kindergarten students looked vibrant in colourful attires. They tapped their feet to the tunes of popular numbers. Students of the primary-wing watched the movie ‘I am Kalam’. The students of senior-wing participated in a multi-genre quiz.

GNPS, Birmi

A special morning assembly was organised for the students to observe Children’s Day. It was conducted by the staff members of the school. Fun-filled activities were organised for the students. They participated in games and danced on the tunes of their favourite numbers. Students of KG wing also participated enthusiastically in the drawing and colouring activities.

Adarsh Public School, Kapil Park, Ludhiana

Students of the school celebrated Children‘s Day with fervour. Tiny Tots mesmerised everyone with their power-packed performances on competitions such as fancy dress, solo dance and group dance.

Green Land Convent School

Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement. On this occasion, annual sports meet was organised for tiny tots of kindergarten and primary wing. The day began with a colourful opening and oath ceremony.

BVM Kitchlu Nagar

Students observed Children’s Day with joy. Gamut of fun-filled activities such as friendly volleyball match, fancy dress and quiz competition, community lunch and creative moves immersed all in fun time.

GMT Public School

Childern’s Day with observed with a myriad of educational and fun activities. Tiny tots came dressed in colourful attires and showcased their talent. A special assembly marked the event where students expressed their views on Jawaharlal Nehru’s life. The students watched the movie ‘Manikarnika’ in the school hall.

Guru Gobind Singh Public School

Children’s Day with celebrated with fun and frolic. A special sssembly was organised on the school campus. The programme began with paying tributes to Jawaharlal Nehru. Various activities and events were organised and performed by teachers. Students were awarded prizes for the colouring competition.

SDP Sr Sec School

Students observed Children’s Day with pomp and show. They presented poems and views regarding Jawaharlal Nehru. Handwriting and Cartoon making competitions were also organised.

DAV Public School

Children’s Day was celebrated with great fervour and gaiety. Students came dressed in colourful clothes. A special assembly was conducted with a vision to instill values among the children. The students enjoyed different games such as bindi-sticking, bursting balloon, spoon-race etc.

DAV, BRS Nagar

Children's Day was observed with fervour on the school premises. Students came dressed in colourful attires and participated in several activities. Students of the primary wing participated Yoga and aerobics along with trying their hand in art and craft to exhibit their creativity.
