The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), today inspected the water filtration plants in the town and inspected the quality of the drinking water being supplied to people.

The Secretary, during her visit, checked the pumping and filtration and alum and bleaching mixing plant and found that the functioning of the plant was proper. She asked the Executive Engineer, PHE, to ensure that clean water was supplied to the residents and ensure measures to be taken for supplying quality drinking water.

In September, a team of the DLSA had paid a surprise visit of the water PHE filtration plant and found most of the things at the place defunct. — OC
