Shimla, November 10

Family members of the martyrs will be exempted from paying toll while entering the state as a mark of respect to the martyrs. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the 116th function of Shaheed Parivar Fund in Jalandhar today.

He said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our nation is forging ahead on the path of progress and prosperity. Several important decisions have been taken during the last few years, including abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A, abolition of triple talaq, etc. Now, the Kartarpur Corridor has been opened to the Sikh devotees.” Thakur said the menace of drugs was as dangerous as the demon of terrorism. He urged the people to come forward and help eradicate this vice from society.

The Chief Minister announced a contribution of Rs5 lakh towards the Shaheed Parivar Fund and also released a book on the occasion. — TNS
