The BJP on Sunday slammed Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for praising Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Kartarpur Corridor inauguration across the international border and allegedly seeking to present Pakistani leadership on a higher pedestal than India’s.
BJP leader Sambit Patra asked senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to reply on what Sidhu said at the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Sidhu heaped praises on his cricketer friend and Pakistan PM Imran Khan, thanking his ‘yaar dildaar’ for opening the Kartarpur Corridor.
Sidhu said no one can deny “my friend” Imran Khan’s contribution in making the opening of the corridor possible.
“Imran Khan has made history,” he said. Calling Khan the “king of hearts”, Sidhu said, “Sikandar (Alexander) had won the world with fear and you won the heart all over the world.”
Patra also slammed the Congress over an editorial in its “mouthpiece” on the Ayodhya verdict.
