Members of the INLD led by district president Shishpal Jandheri today held a demonstration over alleged irregularities in paddy procurement in Ambala.
INLD workers and leaders took out a protest march and reached outside the DC office in Ambala City and submitted a memorandum in support of their demands.
Jandheri said, “The objective was to draw the attention of the government towards irregularities in the procurement of paddy in Ambala. The farmers are being forced to sell their crop at cheaper rates in the absence of proper procurement by the agencies.” — TNS
