Patchwork of roads with plastic mix begins

The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has started the patchwork of roads with plastic mix in Sector 10-A and D here on Friday. The B&R wing of the MC started the patchwork with the plastic generated from the city and collected from rag-pickers. After shredding, the plastic waste is mixed with VG-10 bitumen, crushed aggregate and stone dust. This bituminous material is then used for filling up potholes on roads. The MC will now use plastic for patchwork throughout the city.
