Chandigarh, October 16

Jannayak Janta Party leader Dushyant Chautala on Wednesday moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court, seeking directions to the Union of India and the Election Commission of India to provide security cover through a central security agency following “threat” from an international gang.

In his petition filed through R Kartikeya, Dushyant submitted that he received a call on his mobile from a person who claimed that he was calling from Dubai.

Dushyant claimed that the caller threatened him not to campaign vigorously, else he would face dire consequences. Dushyant added that the man claimed that he was a member of an international gang.

Giving details, his counsel told the Bench of Chief Justice Ravi Shanker Jha and Justice Rajiv Sharma that the gang was founded by a Colombian drug lord and narco-terrorist stated to be the wealthiest criminal in history.
