Shah covers 4 more districts, brings up Art 370, NRC again

FARIDABAD: “The abolition of Article 370 and Section 35-A will ensure peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Faridabad, October 16

“The abolition of Article 370 and Section 35-A will ensure peace in Jammu and Kashmir. It was done to respect the demand of the majority of the people who had been waiting for it for the past 70 years,” claimed Union Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing a public meeting in favour of party candidate from Tigaon Assembly segment Rajesh Nagar here. Later in the day, he also addressed rallies in Panipat, Gurugram and Jhajjar.

Charging the Congress government with failing to address the issue, he said while 40,000 soldiers got martyred due to terrorism, no one dared to take such a bold step.

Asking why the then PM Manmohan Singh kept silent when heads of Indian jawans were cut by the enemy, Shah alleged that the Congress government behaved like a coward while dealing with the problem.

“Congress party ko rastravaad ke naam per saanp soongh jaata hai, (Congress develops cold feet when it come to nationalism)” he quipped. Claiming that the surgical strike and air strike had been the boldest decisions ever, Amit Shah said those have given new strength to the nation and its armed forces. He said Rahul Gandhi’s statement on the strikes across the border had been highly demoralising for the soldiers.

Announcing that every infiltrator would be ousted, he said NRC (National Register of Citizens) would be implemented throughout the country by 2024. Charging that development in Faridabad and Gurugram had been ignored despite the highest revenue, Shah said that the Khattar government would ensure unbiased development.

Slams ‘triple D’ rule

Amit Shah termed the 10 years of Congress rule as the government of triple ‘D’. The first ‘D’ stands for ‘darbariyon ki sarkar’, second ‘D’ for ‘damad ki sarkar’ and third ‘D’ for ‘damad ke dalalon ki sarkar’.
