Truck driver killed in accident

SHIMLA: The driver of an apple-laden truck died on the spot while the helper was seriously injured when a truck rolled down a gorge at Devi Maur near Theog on Hindustan-Tibet National Highway, 35 Km from here today.

The driver of an apple-laden truck died on the spot while the helper was seriously injured when a truck rolled down a gorge at Devi Maur near Theog on Hindustan-Tibet National Highway, 35 Km from here today.

The truck (HP 67A 5147) was on its way from Khadrala near Narkanda to Delhi when the tragedy struck.The deceased was identified as Madan Kumar (48), a resident of Badsar in Hamirpur district, while the injured helper was identified as Ajay.

The body of the deceased has been sent for the post-mortem and a case has been registered and investigations are in progress.
