The Secretary, School Education, Krishan Kumar, honoured 1,100 government school teachers of the district for achieving 100 per cent result of their students on Wednesday.

The secretary said by achieving 100 per cent pass result, teachers had given a message that they were far ahead of private schools.

He also introduced Jashneet Kaur, a young student, who is a brand ambassador of the Department of School Education. “There are rumours that our this brand ambassador is a student of private school but I want to clarify that this girl is a student of Government Primary School of Wara Bhai Ka village in Faridkot,” said the secretary. —TNS
