An interactive and informative workshop was conducted by Amita Mittal, in collaboration with Madhuban Education Books, on ‘Effective teaching methodologies and planning: key to effective teaching. She laid emphasis on the importance of regular and rigorous reading, activity-oriented and child-friendly teaching practices by giving several effective tips for all students.

To mark Hindi Day, various activities were organised at Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40-D, Chandigarh. A slogan writing, poem writing, poem recitation, essay writing, ‘doha’ and ‘chaupaai’ recitation competitions were organised.

Nav Bal Niketan, CHANDIGARH

Students of Nav Bal Niketan Smart School, Sector 29-B, Chandigarh, participated in creative writing and self-composed poem competition on ‘Hamari Rashtriya Bhasha Hindi’. A poem recitation competition for montessori students was organised.

Ryan International, Chandigarh

Ryan International School conducted an informative session titled ‘Erase E-waste’ for montessori students. Students participated in the informative session enthusiastically.

Ashiana Public, Chandigarh

Ashiana Public School hosted a workshop for schoolteachers on ‘Learning disability among children’. Teachers from the host school, along with faculty from Kundan International School, AKSIPS-45, Aanchal International School, Divya Public School, DAV Public School, participated in the workshop. Tanu Sharma, special education teacher, was the resource person. She apprised the teachers of various kinds of disabilities present among children and how to identify them as per their learning pattern. Director Lalita Prakash presented each participant with a holy medicinal herb sapling.

Delhi Public, Chandigarh

Students of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, were sensitised about keeping the environment clean. They were seen enthusiastically participating in badge-making and bookmark-making activities. A plantation drive was also conducted.

Blue Bird, Panchkula

The National Children Science Congress Teacher Workshop was held at Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, Panchkula. 60 lecturers / teachers of various schools of Panchkula district participated in the workshop.

Manav Rachna, Mohali

Monika Mukh, librarian of Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, was awarded with ‘Global Teacher Award’ by Alert Knowledge Services. 

KB DAV, Chandigarh

As a befitting tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi, on his 150th birth anniversary, students of KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, took part in 'SHRAMDAAN' by helping Class-IV employees of the school in cleaning the lawn and planting saplings on the school campus.  Eco-club members and teachers held banners in their hands which read 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness' and 'Clean Campus is a safe Campus'.

AKSIPS Group of Schools

The Bharat Vikas Parishad (Chandigarh) honoured 10 teachers and 10 students from all branches of the AKSIPS Group of Schools. The awards and prizes were given in recognition of the teachers' meritorious services and students for their all-round performance both in academic and co-curricular activities. Jasdeep Kalra, Executive Director of AKSIPS Group of Schools, congratulated the teachers and students. tns
