Health is the keyword

Fitness, for me, is feeling healthy. It doesn’t mean you have to be muscular or an athlete. If I’m feeling fit, healthy and happy from within, that is fitness for me. The most important thing is to feel good about yourself and that makes you feel fit from within. Fitness is purely a state of mind for me.

My fitness mantra

My fitness mantra is to eat everything but in small and limited quantities. Eat that amount of food which can be digested easily and you don’t have to work out extra.

Healthy balance between mind & body

As the lead of Tenali Rama, I have to remember a lot of dialogues which can be tricky sometimes. To ensure that, I maintain a balance between mind and body, I meditate a lot. I am largely into meditation and I do it regularly, even while shooting. I also go to my guruji’s ashram at times just to find that tranquility. Meditation plays a huge role in my life.

IT IS PERSONAL

I eat everything but in small portions. I also make sure to eat every two hours as my metabolism rate is a little low. I try taking power naps, whenever I can, just to keep myself and my mind fresh and healthy.

MY HEALTHY SNACK

Salad is my go-to healthy snack. I love having different types of salads including cereal salad, vegetable salad, fruit salad, etc.

MY CHEAT DAY

My cheat meal comprises a lot of rich Indian foods like paneer makhani and foods prepared in ghee. I am a Marwari guy and I love eating lots of Rajasthani food like dal baati choorma on my cheat day.

FITNESS TIPS FROM EXPERIENCE

I would like to tell all my fans that being fit is not about going to the gym and lifting heavy weights. Stay fit by doing little activities that keep you fresh, happy and relaxed. The most important thing is to give peace to your mind in addition to keeping your body healthy. So eat right and in limited portions.
