The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in association with FMC and Yes bank, organised an interactive session on investment opportunities in United Kingdom for business owners.

Andrew Arey, Deputy High Commissioner, UK Embassy, Chandigarh, said the India-UK trade was increasing day by day. “People are asking us to provide more opportunities to establish their business in the UK. The UK is having the lowest corporate tax (18 per cent) among the G20 countries, which is also a best option for the members who are looking for the investment opportunities.

Vikram Singh, Strategic Head, Investment, UK Embassy, said the bilateral trade had been increased by 20 per cent between July 2017 to July 2018. About 800 Indian companies provide more than a lakh jobs in the UK. He said the UK ranked ninth in the world for ease of doing business. He said they were providing free and confidential service to the customers who were coming to them. Besides providing some kind of incentives to the investors.

Ashwani Kumar, Regional Head, FIEO, said industrialists kept looking for such opportunities. He said detailed presentation given by embassy officials would be helpful for traders.
