Yamunanagar, September 18
Three employees of a private bank have been booked on the charge of cheating a man by selling him a health insurance policy in the name of a life insurance policy.
On the complaint by Vidhanand of the district’s Bakana village, a case was registered against bank employees Sandeep Bedi, Munish Sharma and Kamal Kant Sharma.
The complainant said the bank employees sold him an insurance policy of a private company on March 22, 2017, and deducted Rs15,325 from his bank account as first year’s instalment of premium. He said he deposited the second instalment in cash. “This year, I came to know that the three bank employees sold me a health insurance policy for cancer in place of a life insurance policy. I am not suffering from cancer,” he said, adding when he asked the three bank employees to close the health insurance policy and refund the premium amount, they ignored his request. — TNS
