Free health camp held at Katra village

JAMMU: Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Amphalla, in collaboration with We Care Welfare Society organised a free medical camp for eye and general health at Panchayat Ghar Kotli Bajalian, Nomain village, Katra, on Sunday.

Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Amphalla, in collaboration with We Care Welfare Society organised a free medical camp for eye and general health at Panchayat Ghar Kotli Bajalian, Nomain village, Katra, on Sunday.

The camp received a overwhelming response and around 400 patients from Latori, Sonari, Mehari, Karmal, Dhana, Thandori, Bamiyal, Sumani Phare, Kakryal, Kadmal, Daedal, Drabi, Tikri and Madgal villages turned up for free medical check-up and consultation. They were provided with free medicines.

More than 30 patients were screened for cataract operation and the society will conduct the operation at Vivekananda Hospital, Jammu. Moreover, 40 spectacles would be distributed to needy patients. Dr Chandan Sharma, senior physician specialist, provided consultation and medical assistance to patients. — TNS
