Major reshuffle: Four IAS among 52 officers shifted

JAMMU: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Governor’s administration today ordered the transfer and posting of 52 IAS and KAS officers with immediate effect.

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Governor’s administration today ordered the transfer and posting of 52 IAS and KAS officers with immediate effect.

According to the order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the 2009-batch IAS officer Sushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, would hold the charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Special Purpose Vehicle for Jammu city, for the implementation of the Smart City Project, in addition to her own duties.

Bipul Pathak, a 1992-batch IAS officer, awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, was posted as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, relieving Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department of the additional charge of the post.

Pathak would also hold the additional charge of the posts of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology and Science and Technology Departments and Chief Executive Officer, Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency relieving Rigzian Sampheal, Secretary, Ladakh Affairs Department, of the additional charge of the posts.

Niraj Kumar, a 2010-batch IAS officer, presently serving as Additional Secretary, Technical Education Department, was transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Social Welfare Department. Another IAS officer, Owais Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, JAKEDA, has been asked to hold the charge of the post of Managing Director, J&K SRTC, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

In KAS category offices, Asif Hameed Khan, Director General, Libraries, J&K, was transferred and posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K. Mir Tariq Ali, KAS, Secretary in the Health and Medical Education Department, was transferred and posted as Director General, Women Child Development, J&K, against an available vacancy. He would also hold the additional charge of the post of Mission Director, ICPS, J&K.

GA Sofi, Mission Director, ICPS, J&K, was transferred and posted as Director General, Libraries, J&K. Amit Sharma, Special Secretary, Transport Department, was transferred and posted as Special Secretary in the Summer Secretariat, Jammu.

Bashir Ahmad Dar, Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors for Specified Wakfs and Specified Wakf Properties, was transferred and posted as Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board.

MM Rehman Ghasi, Registrar, Cooperatives, J&K, was transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Managing Director, J&K SRTC, was transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.

MS Choudhary, Special Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, was transferred and posted as CEO, Managing Director, State Procurement Supplies Agency, Rural Development Department, J&K. Rahul Sharma, Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board, was transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Transport Department.

Mufti M Fareed-ud-din, CEO, Managing Director, State Procurement Supplies Agency, Rural Development Department, J&K, was transferred and his services were placed at the disposal of the Chairman, Board of Directors for Specified Wakfs and Specified Wakf Properties for his appointment as CEO of the Board on deputation basis.

Rift Arif, KAS, Special Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department, was transferred and posted as Director, Command Area Development, Kashmir. Mohammad Harun, KAS, Director, Command Area Development, Kashmir, was transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department.
