A man has been arrested on the charge of raping his paramour’s younger sister. The police have also arrested the paramour for aiding her boyfriend allegedly rape her sister. The two accused were produced in a local court on Monday and sent to judicial custody.
The police said the alleged incident took place on September 5, but the 19-year-old victim approached the cops on Monday after she confided in her elder sister, who is married.
The 19-year-old victim lived with her 23-year-old sister in a rented accommodation here.
“On September 5, the victim’s 23-year-old sister came home with her boyfriend Sumit Sharma, a native of Delhi. The two allegedly conspired to rape the 19-year-old girl and sedated her. The next morning, the 19-year-old girl felt pain in her private parts. Suspecting foul play, she confronted her sister and her boyfriend. The couple allegedly thrashed her, asking her not to tell anyone about the incident or else she would be killed. It was only that she confided in her elder sister that she summoned courage to approach the police,” an investigating officer said.
The medical examination of the 19-year-old girl has confirmed rape.
A case was registered against the victim’s sister and her boyfriend under Sections 376 (rape), 323 (causing hurt), 406 (breach of trust) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC at the Shivaji Nagar police station.
