Surrounded by vast sun-soaked paddy fields tucked alongside the Baramulla-Srinagar national highway, which have turned golden hue, Mohammad Ashraf along with three other men is busy harvesting paddy.

Though in normal days, paddy harvesting across Kashmir villages would pass of a normal activity, what is unusual this time is that this activity has begun quite early. — TNS
