Srinagar, September 16

Ishfaq Ahmad had to call a relative in New Delhi from his office landline to renew his car insurance as Internet services continue to remain shut since August 5. Many others have altogether failed to renew their insurances. Locals have also been unable get Internet-related work done at the Regional Transport Office (RTO). The inability to renew insurances and get other works, like getting new number plates, done is worrying people as the new Motor Vehicles Act has come into effect in Jammu and Kashmir . — TNS
