The Machhiwara police have arrested a person for posting derogatory remarks about the Samrala MLA, Amrik Singh Dhillon, on the Facebook. The suspect has been identified as Dr Pardeep Singh, a resident of Sansowal village.
As per information Samrala MLA’s PA Rajesh Kumar lodged a complaint with the Khanna SSP about foul language used by Dr Pardeep Singh on his Facebook account against the legislator. The SSP wrote to the Samrala DSP to take necessary action, who marked an inquiry to the Machhiwara SHO, Gurdeep Singh, for action.
The Machhiwara SHO after recording the statement of Rajesh Kumar registered a case under Sections 500 of the IPC and 67 of the IT Act against Dr Pardeep and arrested him.
