Two days after a daily wager was electrocuted at a house in Daria village, local residents today staged a protest at the Daria police post demanding action against the landlord, a UT cop, for negligence.

Dinesh Kumar (33), who worked as a mason, was electrocuted while working at the house of Omvir Singh, a head constable with the UT police.

The protesters alleged that Dinesh had apprised Omvir of the issue and had asked him to get the problem fixed. However, he didn’t pay any heed to it.

The victim’s brother, Mantu Kumar, lodged a complaint with the police, demanding action against the landlord.
