A deputation of the J&K ReT Teachers' Forum led by its state president Vinod Sharma on Sunday called on Commissioner Secretary, School Education, Sarita Chahuan, in Udhampur. Vinod Sharma raised the issue of teachers' grade III, release of salary of NPS teachers, release of salary of ReTs since March 2019, allotment of treasuries, etc. The Commissioner Secretary gave a patient hearing to the deputation and said orders of teachers' grade III would be issued after issuance of an SRO regarding amendments in the recruitment rule.
Ensuring cleanliness on JU campus
In order to ensure cleanliness in various academics and administrative blocks, the University of Jammu (JU) has asked cleanliness workers to report for gang duties on a daily basis. All heads/directors/branch officers have been directed by the university to spare the cleaning staff under their control to report for gang duty at the health centre after completing their duties in their respective departments.
37 teachers detached
The Directorate of School Education, Jammu, has ordered detachment of 37 teachers and posted them in government schools in different districts where there is a shortage of teaching faculty. It has been observed by the school directorate that state-run schools in Jammu division were facing a shortage of teachers who were attached in government offices earlier.
Credit system of evaluation
The Cluster University of Jammu has introduced credit system of evaluation awarding letter grade and continuous assessments for various degree programmes being offered at the constituent colleges. Under these regulations, the students are given a grade card at the end of each semester. The final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) will be calculated at the end of the programme taking into account the grades and credits scored by the students in all the courses in all semesters..
