The Haryana State HUDA Sector Confederation has decided to oppose the decision of the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to partially implement the recommendation of the three retired judges’ committee on the enhancement of plots issue.
According to information, the HSVP, while directing its officials on August 22 to calculate the enhancement as per the directions of the committee, had also decided not to include 28,000 allottees, who had opted for one-time settlement on enhancement of plots, in various districts of Haryana.
Yashvir Malik, president of the confederation, said that their organisation would oppose the decision and they had urged the HSVP to include the allottees who had opted for one-time settlement. He added that these people had filed a case in the Supreme Court, which is pending.
He said that the the Punjab and Haryana High Court had also directed the HSVP that the allottees, who had opted for one-time settlement, were also entitled to any scheme introduced by the HSVP on the enhancement issue. He said that the benefit of recalculation of enhancement of plots should also be given to those who had opted for one-time settlement.
Malik welcomed the HSVP decision to calculate enhancement as per the recommendation of the judges’ committee. He said that the estate agency should have also fixed the time limit for it. He added that the recalculation of enhancement should be completed by September-end, as the Assembly elections in the state were due later which could further delay the report to be prepared by HSVP officials.
Malik said that an executive committee meeting of the confederation would be held at Hisar tomorrow to decide the further course of action.
