The NASA is investigating what may be the first ever ‘space crime’ aboard International Space Station, news reports said.

The space agency is investigating claims that one of its astronauts accessed the bank account of her estranged partner while onboard the ISS.

The New York Times reported that it could be the first allegation of a crime committed in space.

According to reports, astronaut Anne McClain has denied any wrongdoing and reportedly admitted that she was keeping track of family’s expenses to make sure there was enough money to pay bills for her partner Summer Worden’s son, whom they were raising before the split.

Worden has reportedly filed a complaint. The alleged crime, as per Worden, took place when McClain was on a mission aboard the ISS.
